Descendants of Beverly Willard 1. BEVERLY1 WILLARD (Source: (1) 1820 Census - Wilson County, TN., (2) 1782 Census - Pittsylvania County, VA.) was born Abt. 1750 in VA, and died Abt. November 28, 1821 in Wilson County, TN (Source: Will - Beverly Willard, Wilson County, TN probated November 28, 1821.). He married ISABEL ?. She was born Abt. 1750, and died Bef. October 17, 1829 in Wilson County, TN (Source: Will - Isable Willard, Probated October 27, 1829, Wilson County, TN.). Notes for BEVERLY WILLARD: According to correspondence with Frank Willard of Clarksville, TN, Beverly served in the Continental Army in 1790. This has not been verified by myself. I have found information that a Beverly Willard took an oath of allegiance in Virginia in 1777. Oaths of Allegiance - 1777 Pittsylvania County, VA. Copy done by Cynthia Hubbard Headen. A Beverly Willard owned land adjacent to other people (as mentioned in the plot description) in Pittsylvania County, VA on Feb 26, 1793 and June 15, 1793. Pittsylvania County Deeds, 1791-1794. Beverly and son John Willard both owned land in Wilson County, TN and were listed in the tax lists in 1804, 1805 and 1806. John's propertly was listed in Captain Cannon's District, Beverly's in Captain Leech's District. Beverly owned 120 acres on Hurricane Creek. Found in a book titled Tax Lists of Wilson County, TN 1803-1807 with Names in Court Records 1802-1822 by Partlow. Beverly bought land from a George Michie, 80 acres on Hurricane Creek on June 19, 1810. Wilson County, TN Deed Books C-M 1783-1829 also by Partlow. Beverly Willard was found in the 1820 Wilson County, TN Census. In household, 1 Male between 26 & 40 years of age, 1 male over 45 years of age, 1 female 10 to 16 years of age and 1 female over 45 years of age. Beverly Willard's will was probated on 28 Nov 1821 (in Wilson County, TN Wills Books 1-13, 1802-1850, p.211) and references to his executor selling land on 27 Sept 1832 (Wilson County, TN Deed Books N-Z, 1829 - 1853). From the will, it can be determined that Beverly had at least the following children: James Willard, William Willard, John Willard. It also mentions a grand-daughter Isabel Hall. She is most likely daughter of Martha Willard who married William Hall December 19, 1814, Wilson County, TN.
